Month of May - Celebrate Youth Service

(a) Sponsoring Rotary T-Ball League for boys and girls ages 6 to 8 through Fremont Recreation Center Youth Programs.

 

(b) Donating and reading at three elementary schools from October to May under Rotary Literacy Program.

 

(c) Organizes Rotary 4 Way Test Essay Contest for 8^th graders at Fremont Middle School, and awarding cash prize to two winners.

 

(d) Organizes Rotary 4 Way Test Speech Contest for juniors and seniors at Fremont Ross High School, and awarding cash prize to three winners. 

 

(e) Mentoring seniors under STRIVE Program at Fremont Ross High School, and awarding three scholarships.

 

(f) Sponsoring four high school students from Fremont Ross and SJCC to World Community Workshop at Defiance College every May.

 

(g) Recognizing Student of the Month from September to May, and awarding scholarships to Student of the Year from Fremont Ross High School, SJCC, Vanguard-Sentinel Career & Technologies Centers, and Terra State Community College.

 

Not to mention, Fremont Rotary Club joint effort with local organizations to benefit local families with children during the year ...

 

(h) with Hayes Presidential Center hosting children from School of Hope and students from Hayes elementary for Easter Egg Hunt.

 

(i) with Sandusky County Park District collecting food items and monetary for Sandusky County Food Pantry.

 

(j) participation in Community Christmas adopting three families.

 

(k) participation in Salvation Army's bell ringing.

 

(l) participation in Sponsor A Day program under Liberty Center for homeless.

 

We are helping the children internationally too ...

 

(m) donating towards World Food Program to fight hunger;

 

(n) donating towards MESA Program to deliver medical equipments around the world.

YES ... this is a reminder why Fremont Rotarians should be so proud of OUR Club - ... Doing Good, Serving Humanity through Rotary!!!!!!!!!!
