Dear Fremont Rotarians,

After speaking with our own Rotarian Brenda (Peiffer), Administrator of Bethany Place, our Club has provided boxed meals to her 21 staff on Wednesday, May 13 ... thanking them for their services.

Brenda was looking for ways to cheer up her 47 residents during the social distancing period, and came up with happy thoughts through cards/artwork/drawings.  She and her staff will be accepting delivery of the said items at the door, and ensure everything is clean before distributing them to the residents.

So our Club will be sending happiness to Bethany Place residents after May 22.  Our Club’s "First Lady", Keisha Kuns, has kindly agreed to coordinate this project.  We encouraging members who have young kids/grandkids to participate.  There will be a box (to collect items) available outside of President Roger’s new office building (2378 West State Street) on May 22nd from 8 am to 6 pm.

Keisha also approached students of Sacred Heart, sharing her email and project leaflet ...
I am emailing on behalf of the Rotary Club of Fremont as well as a mother of two Sacred Heart kiddos.  We would like to invite the students of Sacred Heart to participate in a local service project of sharing joy to our elderly population living in nursing homes.  As you are well aware, these men and women have been unable to receive visitors for some time now and our mission is to put a smile on their faces with cards, art work, coloring pages, etc from our local youngsters.  If you would like your Sacred Heart students to participate, we would supply a box to be available on the May 22nd homework drop off date.

Stay healthy,
Keisha Kuns
